Turning A New Page: Introducing Book Reviews

Recently I have decided to pick up reading as a new hobby. I have read various books at different points in my life, but I was never consistent and appreciative enough of the peace getting lost in words, stories, and tales outside of my reality brings. Another reason I decided to pick up reading is that I needed a new hobby that would help me in moments of burnout as I wrote about in a previous post. I also know that reading will serve me well and at the current stage in my life combined with where the world is at right now, it only made sense.

For this reason, I have decided that I will introduce book reviews to this very platform which you’re reading this now, Living PF. I wouldn’t pride myself on being a bookworm, but I am a soul that seeks to be inspired. Part of where I get most of my inspiration from is through stories, real stories, and truths about different people from various walks of life. I will be reviewing books I read, discussing what I learn from them as well as various things I personally will be applying to my own life where necessary.

Please understand that this is just an addition to variations of content. Living PF will continue as a Lifestyle and Personal Development blog site, but now including book reviews. Part of the purpose of this platform is to document my journey in the process of becoming………. (more on that later).

The reviews on this will start with The Alchemist. I was recommended to explore this book by a friend and from what I hear it is about the pursuit of dreams, something that I’m intrigued to explore and learn from.

I will be providing reviews of every few pages or chapters explored followed by a final summary review.

Are you someone who enjoys a good read and getting lost in the pages? What is the last book you read and how did it impact you? Comment down below as I would love to learn from you. If you have any books that you would recommend, I explore and give a review on, please suggest them and I’ll be happy to explore.

Thanks For Reading

Sincerely Yours

  3. That’s a great decision you made to include influential books. and Alchemist is no doubt one of the masterpieces. I am a huge fan of Paul Coelho. Besides, I have recently read “Maybe the Moon” by Armistead Maupin. It’s a novel based on a real-life dwarf actress in Hollywood. Despite being physically different from others, her determination, boldness, and independency is what inspired me the most. I found this book quite influential and one which’s closer to the reality.
